AAWA Bailey Wrestling Club
Welcome to AAWA Bailey Wrestling Club
Why Youth Wrestling?
Wrestling and Football – Wrestling is the ultimate compliment to football. Build strength, agility, conditioning, and mental toughness. Learn to use leverage, stance, and hand-fighting (all great for tackling!). Gain confidence in physical contact sports.
Wrestling and other Sports – The proper stance, body control, and conditioning are fundamental to success in football, baseball, and basketball. Wrestling teaches those fundamentals better than almost any other sport.
Wrestling and Fun – Wrestling is a natural outlet for many kids. What is more fun than wrestling around on a padded mat and competing with your friends?
Wrestling and Life – Wrestling builds great life skills – accountability, commitment, perseverance, discipline, humility and confidence.
Competition is by age, weight, and experience level. As a first year wrestler, your child will be classified as a "Rookie". He/she will wrestle in Rookie-only or Rookie/Novice tournaments against other Rookies and 2nd year wrestlers (Novice).

What Age Can We Begin?
Wrestlers can begin training and competing as young as age 4 and continue through high school. There is limited opportunity for high school age wrestlers to compete locally at the club level. However, they are welcome to join, train and attend any tournaments that have their age division available. Other clubs may have different age requirements. You will need to check with them directly.
